Room 16 had a fun time at Garden to Table today. They spent time in the garden then headed to the kitchen to make caramel shortbread, bounty bar balls and cards.
There will be an afternoon tea coming soon, to say thank you to everyone that helped at Garden to Table this year (invites coming out soon). A big thank you to all the parents and grandparents that have helped over the year, we really appreciate it :)

Last Friday Rooms 16 and 17 went to the Botanical Gardens as part of their inquiry on 'Life Matters.' The students had a fabulous day and learnt heaps.
Room 16 spent the morning being park detectives listening to the sounds of the piwakawaka, bellbird and kereru, followed by bug and tree hunting. After lunch Room 16 took part in the 'Creative and Native' programme, looking at key words, animals and birds in New Zealand and the importance of green spaces in our environment.
