Marae Visit

On Tuesday the 17th March Rooms 16 and 17 visited the Marae in Springfield Road. Here are some photos from that day.

Tapa Cloth Art

Last week Room 16 had an art lesson on print making with Bianca from the Art Gallery. The students looked at a variety of tapa cloth prints/designs and discussed these. They then created their own designs on paper before choosing one to pencil onto a foam plate. The students then inked up their plate ready for print making. They worked collaboratively to complete their final art works. Come and see the fantastic finished products in the classroom. 

Room 16 Garden to Table

Thank you to all the parent helpers and volunteers that joined Room 16 at Garden to Table last week. We had a fantastic time in the garden and made delicious corn bread muffins and vegetable chili in the kitchen...YUM! Check out our photos and the recipes on this blog.
